+ Colin Cheung, Lawyer 

Colin advises on all aspects of the management, commercialisation and protection of intellectual property rights. He works closely with clients across all industries to gain an understanding of their needs and ensures the firm delivers a tailored IP strategy which is commercially relevant for his clients. Colin’s background includes working with a Sydney-based specialist IP firm, during which time he worked with a number of high profile clients and in particular the IP portfolio of a multi-national corporation. Colin has also worked as a Trade Marks Examiner at IP Australia. His IP experience has seen him involved across a range of patent, trade mark, copyright, designs, confidential information and related commercial IP litigation proceedings. Colin’s practice also encompasses the running of trade mark opposition proceedings before IP Australia for clients located both here and overseas.

+ Jennifer Driver, Trade Marks Attorney

Jennifer’s primary focus is trade mark prosecution work, both within Australia and internationally. Jennifer currently coordinates a number of large international portfolios for Australian and international clients across a range of industries, including cosmetics, life-sciences, footwear and pet accessories. She also conducts trade mark clearance and infringement searches and advises her clients on the availability and registrability of their new brands including infringement, related Trade Practices and passing off issues. Jennifer’s background includes working as a Trade Marks Attorney at a leading national firm and as a Trade Marks Examiner at IP Australia.

+ Martin Earley, Patent and Trade Marks Attorney

Martin Earley is a patent attorney with a wealth of experience in intellectual property matters. Martin’s primary focus is in IP protection and enforcement strategies including patents, trade marks and design filings and prosecution in Australia and overseas. In particular, Martin’s technical expertise includes a wide range of technologies such as electronics, physics, telecommunications, consumer goods, manufacturing, information technology and e-commerce. He is registered to practice as a patent attorney in both Australia and New Zealand. Martin’s background includes as a Patent Examiner and Patent Opposition Hearings Assistant with IP Australia, as a patent attorney with several specialist patent attorney firms, including in the role of partner, and most recently at a leading national law firm.

+ Jack Dolphin, Lawyer

Jack advises on a range of general commercial and IP litigation matters. His experience has seen him involved in a range of litigation matters in the Federal Magistrates Court and Federal Court. Jack also has particular expertise in providing clearance advice to the advertising and marketing industry as well as providing practical commercial legal advice to the firm’s clients. His background includes experience with various Melbourne commercial law firms and most recently at a specialist Melbourne IP law firm.

+ Daniel Lo, Lawyer

Daniel’s main areas of practice include advising, drafting and negotiating on a range of commercial agreements such as franchising, distribution/supply and IT agreements. He has a strong focus on intellectual property based agreements including licensing, sale, assignments and confidentiality agreements. He also assists in all facets of the firm’s IP practice including submissions to IP Australia, oppositions and litigation. Daniel has previously worked in the commercial section of a leading national IP attorney and law firm.

Andrew's main areas of practice include trade mark searches, prosecution and filing. He is also experienced in running trade mark oppositions and domain name disputes. In addition he is also an experience litigator having been involved in a number high profile IP litigation cases. His background includes experience at a number Melbourne litigation firms and more recently in a specialist IP and entertainment law firm. In that role he also held key role in a busy trade mark practice.

+ Patrick O'Neill, Patent Professional & Trade Marks Attorney 

Patrick aims to assist his clients in obtaining the most cost effective intellectual property protection for their particular situation. He has gained six years experience in intellectual property matters as both a patent attorney and lawyer in South Africa before relocating to Australia. Patrick is an Australian registered Trade Marks Attorney. At present he and is also working as a trainee patent attorney as part of requalifying as an Australian patent attorney. Patrick has a Biochemistry degree and is also currently admitted as a South African lawyer. He has worked in a number of technical fields ranging from general mechanical and electrical inventions to medical compounds and devices.

+ Jacqueline Chelebian, Patent Professional

Jacqueline is qualified in law and biomedical sciences with disciplines in pathology, immunology, pharmacology, molecular biology. Jacqueline is a trainee patent attorney and assists the patent team with patent searches and the drafting of patent applications by utilising her specialist biomedical knowledge. As a trainee lawyer she also assists the legal team with litigation and opposition matters.
